What You'll Do
As a Social Worker in our fostering team, you will
- Complete mainstream fostering assessments and provide post-approval support.
- Undertake kinship assessments (including Reg 24, Fostering, and Special Guardianship).
- Assess and support Supported Lodgings and Staying Put arrangements.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Mockingbird model to strengthen fostering networks.
- Participate in the team duty rota, ensuring timely responses and continuity of care.
What We're Looking For
- SWE (HCPC) Registration and a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within an English Local Authority.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Children Act 1989
- Care Planning Regulations 2010
- Fostering Regulations 2011
- National Minimum Standards
- Ability to apply theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
- Access to a car and willingness to travel across Dorset.
- Enhanced DBS (we can arrange this for you).
